Anti-Membrane Protein Antibody Discovery by Phage Display Technology

Equipped with talent expert teams and rich experiences in this area, Creative Biolabs now provides state-of-the-art anti-membrane protein antibody discovery service using phage display technology. We are more than pleased to offer professional assistance with diverse challenging membrane protein antibody projects of our worldwide customers.

Due to the significance of membrane proteins in various physiological functions, anti-membrane protein antibodies have always been a major class of therapeutic agents. Although hybridoma technology is a classic approach, it largely limits the host species in rodents (e.g. mice and rats). Besides, insufficient cell fusion can result in loss of many potential good candidates. Born in the 1980s, filamentous phage display emerged as a promising alternative for antibody generation. This technique is based on the concept of linking genotype with phenotype, creating a large pool of antibody candidates that can represent the entire immune repertoire. It has been widely applied to raise all types of highly specific, high-affinity binders (antibodies, peptide, scaffold, etc.) against indicated targets.

Advantages of our well-established phage display library construction and library screening platform can be summarized as:

As one of the most challenging immunogens, membrane proteins are generally difficult to obtain due to its complicated structure, large transmembrane hydrophobic domains, and complex function profiles. After years of efforts, our scientists have introduced an all-around membrane protein immunogen preparation platform, allowing efficient immunization and antibody selection in multiple formats including liposomes, polymers, nanodiscs, designed peptides, DNA immunization, whole cell presentation, etc. Aided by these strategies, many GPCR immunogens, ion channel immunogens and transporter immunogens have been successfully obtained.

Currently, we offer high-quality phage display anti-membrane protein antibody development service in following species for your selection:
