Monoclonal Alligator Antibody Production

Monoclonal Alligator Antibody ProductionCreative Biolabs is proud to offer a unique service for generating alligator monoclonal antibodies by our advanced phage display technology. With years of experience in the field of antibody development, scientists from Creative Biolabs are confident in providing alligator monoclonal antibody with high specificity and affinity for our customers all over the world.

Crocodile, as a kind of aquatic reptiles, is a wondrous research object for immunological study. In general, the wild crocodiles mainly distribute throughout the tropical swamps in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Australia. As a kind of territorial animals, crocodiles often suffer severe wounds (e.g. loss of entire limbs) from territorial disputes (e.g. interspecies fighting) or human activities (e.g. collisions with boat propellers). However, even their habitat harbors many potentially infectious microbes, most of the crocodile can survive and recover rapidly from such enormous injuries without a lot of infections. According to the relevant researches, this remarkable feature is mainly owing to the powerful immune system that crocodiles have evolved from their septic living environment. Actually, through a series of in vitro studies about the immune system of the American alligator, Merchant and his colleagues (2003, 2005) have indicated various characteristics of alligators’ serum, including the properties of anti-parasitic, antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial. On the basis of such strong immune system, alligator (primarily American alligator) has been considered as an unusual source of antibody research and development. Nonetheless, when comparing with mammals whose immune systems are better understood, the relative studies of nonavian reptiles are still limited. In this way, the monoclonal antibodies from alligators may play a valuable role in the extension of immunoglobulin repertoire or the development of potential tools for therapeutic or diagnostic applications.

To achieve this meaningful goal, Creative Biolabs has built up a whole set of novel procedure to generate alligator monoclonal antibody by our advanced phage display technology. Based on the extensive knowledge about antibody development, our scientists are able to provide one-stop service from alligator immunization to the generation of immune alligator antibody libraries. Then, the monoclonal alligator antibodies with high specificity and affinity can be selected by our mature biopanning techniques. In addition, Creative Biolabs can use our unique Native™ Antibody Discovery Platform, which based on antigen-specific B lymphocytes cytometry technology, to substitute phage display platform for Native™ Alligator Antibody Discovery.

Creative Biolabs is a well-recognized service provider in the field of antibody research and development. We take pride in our capacity of providing custom antibody production services for a broad range of species, such as human, rodents, rabbit, chicken, llama, camel, shark and alligator. Our scientists are pleased to offer the best service and the high-quality products to meet our clients’ requirements.
