Anti-hapten Antibody Production

Haptens are small molecules that stimulate the production of antibody when conjugated to a carrier molecule. As anti-hapten antibodies are essential for diagnostic and therapeutic applications of human health, Creative Biolabs has successfully developed antibodies with high affinity and specificity targeting the small molecule antigens. Based on our unparalleled phage display technology, we have built unique antibody production platform and achieved a series of anti-hapten antibody discovery projects for our global clients.

Fluobody Production

As a substitute for chemical antibody-fluorochrome conjugation, fluobody is significant in immunofluorescence (IF) for both localization studies and diseases diagnosis. Compared with the conventional chemical conjugation format, fluobody provides more stable excitation and emission spectra without influence on the antigen binding capacity, which is more suitable for the immunofluorescence (IF) applications. Creative Biolabs has built an advanced fluobody construction platform which could meet our clients’ projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The production of fluobody is achieved via the fusion of the antibody and fluorescent protein variants encoding genes in a 1:1 ratio.

Anti-Venom Antibody Discovery and Development

Venoms are a complex mixture of substances, mainly proteins, which can lead to high mortality due to complications. An effective method against venoms is antivenin immune therapy. However, the heterogeneity and high degree of immunogenicity from horse-derived hyperimmune antivenin limit the development of anti-venom antibodies. In order to overcome the disadvantages and get high-quality anti-venom antibodies, Creative Biolabs has developed a standard pipeline for the generation of recombinant antibodies and smaller functional unit antibodies, including single domain antibodies (sdAb) and single-chain antibodies (scFvs).

Catalytic Antibodies (Abzymes) Discovery

Catalytic antibody (abzyme) is a type of monoclonal antibody with the catalytic activity which has been found in healthy humans and in patients with autoimmune diseases. Equipped with high-throughput phage display platform, Creative Biolabs enables the identification of abzymes with high specificity and affinity. Combined with our advanced Magic™ platform, the abzymes can be selected from enriched sublibrary after several rounds of biopanning. For example, the catalytic antibodies with β-lactamase activity can be obtained using a suicide substrate of β-lactamase as the target.
