Enables D-mannose binding activity and transmembrane signaling receptor activity. Acts upstream of or within cellular response to interleukin-4; cellular response to lipopolysaccharide; and cellular response to type II interferon. Located in cell surface. Is expressed in several structures, including hemolymphoid system; intestine; liver; lung; and yolk sac. Orthologous to human MRC1 (mannose receptor C-type 1).
