Hybridoma technology has been the most classic & dominant approach and a milestone for the monoclonal antibody discovery since 1970s. It is widely applied in rodents to raise mAbs against many different target molecules after immunization. On the other hand, as the most popular lab animal in biology and antibody development, mouse has many appealing properties. First of all, mice and humans share about 97.5% of their genes and produce similar antibody isotypes with human. Moreover, it is by far the best-characterized species, and very easily manipulated. Mouse is also well-developed to conduct gene modification and generate special transgenic strains. Taking advantages of these features, Creative Biolabs has integrated diverse transgenic mouse strains for antibody discovery to fulfill various demands. For example, we bring out a Speed™ anti-membrane protein antibody development platform. The gene-modified mice used on this platform are more sensitive to foreign immunogens and can be fast immunized in less than 20 days.
