It demonstrates high glycosaminoglycan (GAG) binding affinity and competitively inhibits functional chemokines from interacting with GAGs. This action disrupts chemokine gradient formation and can suppress neutrophil migration in inflammatory models, making it a tool for studying GAG-chemokine interactions.
