DfTat is a homodimer of the cell-penetrating peptide TAT, linked by a disulfide bond. This dimeric structure is reported to provide highly efficient delivery of small molecules, peptides, and proteins into live cells, often exceeding the performance of the monomer. It can also be labeled, for instance with rhodamine, for easy detection in uptake studies.
