ZFR

All products and services are For Research Use Only and CANNOT be used in the treatment or diagnosis of disease.

ZFR (Zinc Finger RNA Binding Protein) is a Protein Coding gene. The encoded protein may play a role in the nucleocytoplasmic shuttling of another RNA-binding protein, Staufen homolog 2, in neurons. Expression of this gene is regulated through alternative polyadenylation that mediates differential microRNA targeting. Diseases associated with ZFR include Autosomal Recessive Spastic Paraplegia Type 71 and Cri-Du-Chat Syndrome. Among its related pathways are Diurnally Regulated Genes with Circadian Orthologs. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations related to this gene include nucleic acid binding. An important paralog of this gene is ZFR2.
