We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with a PhD to support our preclinical vaccine development projects. The role requires profound knowledge of immunological techniques such as virus neutralization assays, ELISA, FACS analysis, and other project specific readout systems to characterize the immune response to the vaccine candidates. In addition, he or she should possess excellent communication skills and experience in study design, protocol writing, result documentation, evaluation and reporting, and internal/external presentation of data.
Key Responsibilities
Establish, nurture and grow client relationships.
Report project progress to sponsors by phone and email.
Provide scientific rationale for proof of concept and supportive studies.
Lead discovery activities for one or more projects to develop candidate live-attenuated, inactivated, or recombinant vaccines through pre-clinical evaluation.
Analyze, interpret and summarize complex data and contribute to project decisions.
Work closely with sponsors to support preclinical development of vaccine projects.
Basic Qualifications
Advanced degree in immunology.
Proven ability to design and develop viral vaccines, including scientific accomplishment in virology, molecular biology, immunology or related field.
Solid background in vaccine development with knowledge of the vaccine development process.
Strong communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) and the ability to identify and recommend solutions to problems.
Technical experience in a discipline associated with vaccine/drug development.
