ASXL2 Analysis Services

Natural mutations in the ASXL2 gene are associated with breast, bladder, pancreatic, ovarian, prostate, and blood cancers. It also plays important roles in neurodevelopment, heart function, lipogenesis, and osteoclast formation. Creative Biolabs provides one-stop ASXL2 analysis services based on various test platforms.

ASXL2 Function

ASXL2 is an ETP family protein that interacts with PPARγ and regulates glucose homeostasis, lipogenesis, and osteoclast differentiation through activation of PPARg.

ASXL2 Mutations

The mutation sites of ASXL2 mutation were mainly located in exons 11 and 12, the ASXL2 mutation results in loss of expression of ASXL2 protein and is the most common mutation in patients with acute myeloid leukemia with RUNX1-ETO translocations.

ASXL2 mutations are common in children and adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and ASXL2 mutations are found in AML patients with t (8; 21) translocation is common and associated with an increased risk of recurrence. The accumulation of ASXL2 mutation status reduced RUNX1-RUNX1T1 transcripts throughout the course of treatment in adult patients, and the recurrence rate of AML patients with t (8; 21) increased to 36%.
