C1ORF127 Analysis

Target Information

Human C1orf127 protein is encoded by the C1orf127 gene which is located on the short arm of Chromosome 1 (1p36.22), spanning 35,566 base pairs from 10946471 to 10982037. At present, the structure and function of C1orf127 are poorly understood by the scientific community. C1orf127 is suggested to be localized to the extracellular matrix in humans. There are two known isoforms caused by alternative splicing. C1orf127 is speculated to interact with two different proteins, CCT3 and CCT6B which are molecular chaperones found in the testis. Since these interacting proteins are both molecular chaperones, it is possible that C1orf127 must undergo chaperone-assisted folding or unfolding.

Expression of C1orf127 Protein

C1orf127 is not constitutively expressed, but it is expressed at low to medium levels in a variety of tissues. The greatest expression is observed in the stomach and pancreas. It is also thought to be expressed in certain areas of both the developing and adult brains, such as the cerebellum, as well as skeletal muscle tissue, the testis, cardiac muscle, and the digestive system. However, a 2012 paper published in the World Journal of Gastroenterology suggested that its misexpression could be used as a diagnostic marker locus in the detection of cancer.

Analysis Services at Creative Biolabs

High-throughput gene expression profiles have allowed the discovery of potential biomarkers enabling early diagnosis, prognosis, and development of individualized treatment. Identification of reliable and reproducible biomarkers can contribute to revealing patterns of disease heterogeneity. Recent advances in High-throughput sequencing (HTS) technology, such as microarray and RNA-Seq have enabled Creative Biolabs to profile entire gene expression at low costs. The massive amounts of gene expression profile data generated by HTS have provided a great opportunity to identify reliable biomarkers which facilitate diagnosis, prognosis, or treatment of patients.

Creative Biolabs utilizes the HTS assay detection platform to achieve differential expression analysis for global clients. We also provide custom recombinant human C1orf127 fragment or antibody development services for global clients. Whether you are envisioning a potential project or improving your current operations related to your portfolio, we can help you with an innovative C1ORF127 bulk reagent. Our biomarker analysis service is furnished for only academic research. If you want to order this test, please feel free to contact us for more information.
