As a leading antibody service provider in the world, Creative Biolabs is professional in the field of in vitro diagnostic (IVD) antibody discovery. With extensive experience and advanced technology, now our scientists can provide IVD antibody development services against the apolipoprotein A1 marker of bladder cancer.

Introduction of Apolipoprotein A1 Marker

Apolipoprotein A1 is a protein encoded by the human APOA1 gene. It is a major lipoprotein component of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol in plasma and participates in the reverse transport of cholesterol from tissues to the liver for excretion. In the lipid-bound state, apoA-1 governs lipid transport, receptor recognition, and other functions, including activation of lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase, which converts cholesterol to cholesteryl ester. Moreover, studies have suggested that apoA-1 has a variety of immune-related properties including inhibition of bacterial endotoxin, antiviral activity, and inhibition of inflammatory cytokines. Defects in the gene encoding it is associated with HDL deficiencies, including Tangier disease, and with systemic non-neuropathic amyloidosis.

Apolipoprotein A1 Marker of Bladder Cancer

During the past years, studies attention has been focused on the level of lipoproteins in tumors because of their possible role in tumor angiogenesis. Importantly, study outcomes have reversely confirmed the suspicion. For example, the level of apoA-1 is decreased in the serum of patients with pancreatic cancer and ovarian cancer. Also, apoA-1 is down-regulated in hepatocellular cancer tissue when compared with surrounding nontumor tissue acquired by laser capture microdissection. What's more, apoA-1 is highly expressed in the urine of patients with bladder cancer compared with that in the normal controls. These results suggest that apoA-1 would be a potential urinary biomarker for diagnosis and surveillance of bladder cancer.

IVD Antibody Development Services Targeting ApoA-1Marker

Biomarkers are molecules that can be detected in biological samples to provide crucial diagnostic and prognostic information for patients. As a potential biomarker of bladder cancer, apoA-1 has a promising role for the forecast of risk for developing bladder cancer and is highly connected with the severity of bladder cancer. With the rapid development of in vitro diagnostics, IVD antibodies are more and more applied for the diagnosis of numerous diseases. With our versatile IVD platform, Creative Biolabs is proud to develop novel apoA-1-specific (paired) antibodies from scratch to commercial IVD kit (we can also start with provided antibody candidates).

With professional scientists and abundant experience, Creative Biolabs is happy to offer the most cost-effective and high-quality service to promote the success of your project. If you are interested in the service we can provide, please feel free to contact us and get a quote.
