Creative Biolabs is a well-recognized expert in the field of antibody generation and production. Especially, we have launched a series of in vitro diagnostic (IVD) antibody development services for different infections and diseases, including sepsis. Scientific progress has resulted in the discovery of novel disease biomarkers to fulfill the need for quicker, more specific and more accurate diagnosis of sepsis. Particularly, we provide IVD antibody development services against the plasma fibronectin (pFN) marker.

Introduction of Plasma Fibronectin

Plasma fibronectin (pFN) is a glycoprotein with a molecule weight of 470 to 500 kDa that binds to membrane-spanning receptor proteins called integrins. It is synthesized by hepatocytes and secreted into the blood where it circulates in a compact conformation. Studies have shown that pFN has the ability to contribute to normal processes important for development, organogenesis, cell adhesion and migration, and hemostasis and pathophysiologic processes such as angiogenesis and vascular remodeling. Moreover, pFN plays a key role in the early phase of wound healing where it binds to platelets and fibrin, resulting in providing increased strength to the fibrin clot. Also, fibronectin in this clot is important for various platelet functions such as adhesion, migration, and aggregation.

Plasma Fibronectin Marker of Sepsis

It has been reported that pFN is intimately involved with non-specific defense mechanisms of the body in close connection with the monocyte-macrophage system. It is also involved with maintaining hemostasis, where it interacts with factors of the coagulase system, and also plays a role in cell physiology and tissue organization. Most importantly, the concentration of pFN in patients with sepsis showed diminished levels when compared with normal people. In this condition, the pFN level can be used as a specific marker for the diagnosis and monitoring of the septic patient.

IVD Antibody Development Services for Plasma Fibronectin Marker

IVD technologies are undergoing rapid development during the past years. IVD antibodies have been extensively used as vital tools for the detection of numerous diseases, conditions, or infections. Plasma fibronectin has been used as a useful biomarker for the screening and monitoring of sepsis. Based on years of experience, Creative Biolabs is capable of providing a full range of IVD antibody development services against plasma fibronectin marker for worldwide customers.

Along with over a decade of rich experience in providing excellent custom services for IVD antibody discovery, our services can totally meet your special requirements. For more detailed information, please feel free to contact us and get a quote.
