We perform single dose studies and repeat dose studies to characterize irritation potential, cutaneous and/or systemic toxicity associated with topical administration of compounds, and results used to predict human response. Study designs include open, semi-occluded and occluded administrations. All dermal toxicology studies include standard toxicology endpoints (clinical observations, clinical pathology, ECG, ophthalmology and histopathology) in addition to specialized dermal evaluations (such as Draize scoring). Acute Dermal Toxicity
Creative Biolabs provides acute dermal toxicity test compliance to GLP certified, FDA inspected, EMA inspected and Standards Council of Canada (OECD-GLP) inspected. According to OECD 402, the test drug is applied to the skin in one dose or graduated doses to several groups of experimental animals, one dose being used per group. About 10 percent of the total body surface area is applied uniformly to the test substance. Tested substance should be held in contact with the skin with a porous gauze dressing and non-irritating tape throughout a 24-hour exposure period. At the end of the exposure period, residual test substance is washed by water or an appropriate solvent. We make observations and records systematically for each animal. The time of death is recorded as precisely as possible. Changes in fur, eyes and mucous membranes, and also respiratory, circulatory, autonomic and central nervous system, and somatomotor activity and behavior pattern are also included.
