Description
Biotin-Phosphatidylethanol (Biotin-PEth) is a labeled version of the PEth molecule, featuring a biotin tag covalently attached at the terminus of the sn-1 acyl chain. Phosphatidylethanol (PEth) is synthesized predominantly in the liver through a process called transphosphatidylation, where the enzyme phospholipase D acts on phosphatidylcholine (PC) in the presence of ethanol.
