Specifications
Description
This compound is a water-soluble chemical counterpart of phosphatidylinositol 5-phosphate (PI(5)P), strategically labeled with biotin at the sn-1 position of the glycerol backbone. Phosphoinositides (PIPs) are low-abundance lipid components of cell membranes that function as vital intermediaries in intercellular communication. PI(5)P is recognized as an unconventional signaling lipid, primarily located within the nucleus, where it is known to associate with the PHD finger domain of adapter proteins like ING2.
