GlycoErase™ AMY2B Knockout CHO-K1 Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF268)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ AMY2B knockout CHO-K1 cell line is a CHO-K1 model lacking AMY2B expression. AMY2B encodes a pancreatic alpha-amylase responsible for catalyzing the first step of starch and glycogen degradation. By disrupting AMY2B, this model provides a tool to explore isoform-specific functions of pancreatic amylases, digestive enzyme regulation, and nutrient metabolism, while supporting research in enzyme biology, carbohydrate metabolism, and biotechnological enzyme applications.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target AMY2B
Full Name Amylase Alpha 2B
Alternative Name HXA; AMY2; AMY3
Location 1p21.1
Gene ID 280
Summary Amylases are secreted proteins that hydrolyze 1,4-alpha-glucoside bonds in oligosaccharides and polysaccharides, and thus catalyze the first step in digestion of dietary starch and glycogen. The human genome has a cluster of several amylase genes that are expressed at high levels in either salivary gland or pancreas. This gene encodes an amylase isoenzyme produced by the pancreas.
