Description
The FUT11 knockout HepG2 cell line lacks the FUT11 protein, a fucosyltransferase 11 in liver cells, predicted to be involved in Golgi-localized N-glycan fucosylation within hepatocytes. Loss of FUT11 function in HepG2 cells may specifically impact the fucosylation of newly synthesized glycoproteins passing through the Golgi in liver cells, potentially affecting their trafficking and function relevant to liver physiology and disease.
