Description GCNT1 knockout HepG2 cell line lacks GCNT1 protein, glucosaminyl (N-acetyl) transferase 1, essential for core 2 O-glycan branching. GCNT1 knockout in HepG2 cells enables investigation of O-glycan branching disruption in liver cancer, potentially affecting complex O-glycan structures on hepatocytes, cell surface properties and related liver tumor cell functions.
