GlycoErase™ GPI Knockout HepG2 Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF635)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ GPI knockout HepG2 cell line is a human HepG2 model lacking GPI, which encodes glucose phosphate isomerase. This multifunctional "moonlighting" protein acts intracellularly as a glycolytic enzyme and extracellularly as neuroleukin, autocrine motility factor, and angiogenic factor. Deficiency causes hemolytic anemia and neurological impairment. This knockout supports research on glycolysis, tumor-secreted factors, neurotrophic signaling, and immune regulation, with applications in oncology, neurobiology, and metabolic disease.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target GPI
Full Name Glucose-6-Phosphate Isomerase
Alternative Name AMF; NLK; PGI; PHI; GNPI; SA36; SA-36; CNSHA4
Location 19q13.11
Gene ID 2821
Summary This gene encodes glucose-6-phosphate isomerase, a multifunctional protein acting in glycolysis and as an extracellular neurotrophic factor, lymphokine, and tumor-secreted cytokine. Mutations cause nonspherocytic hemolytic anemia and may lead to severe neonatal outcomes.
For Research Use Only.
