Description	This UGT1A1 knockout (HEK293F) cell line lacks the UGT1A1 protein, a UDP glucuronosyltransferase family 1 member A1. This gene encodes UDP glucuronosyltransferase, an enzyme of the glucuronidation pathway that transforms small lipophilic molecules, such as steroids, bilirubin, hormones, and drugs, into water-soluble, excretable metabolites. Loss of UGT1A1 function may disrupt glucuronidation.
