GlycoErase™ MGAM Knockout HEK293T Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF536)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ MGAM knockout HEK293T cell line is a human embryonic kidney model lacking MGAM expression. MGAM encodes maltase-glucoamylase, a digestive enzyme hydrolyzing α-glucosidic bonds in starch breakdown. Its absence in HEK293T provides a system to analyze glycosidase activity, nutrient processing, and carbohydrate metabolism in a non-intestinal human cell background.

Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target MGAM
Full Name Maltase-Glucoamylase
Alternative Name MG; MGA
Location 7q34
Gene ID 8972
Summary Maltase-glucoamylase, encoded by this gene, participates in the final digestion of starch at the brush border. It shares catalytic similarity with sucrase-isomaltase but is only partially homologous. Both belong to glycosyl hydrolase family 31.
