GlycoErase™ PCK1 Knockout Jurkat Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF770)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ PCK1 knockout Jurkat cell line is a Jurkat T cell model without PCK1 expression. PCK1 encodes cytosolic phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK-C), a control point in gluconeogenesis converting oxaloacetate to phosphoenolpyruvate. Regulation involves insulin, glucocorticoids, glucagon, and diet. Mutations cause PEPCK deficiency. This knockout model enables research in immune cell glucose metabolism, diabetes, and immune regulation.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target PCK1
Full Name Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxykinase 1
Alternative Name PCKDC; PEPCK1; PEPCKC; PEPCK-C
Location 20q13.31
Gene ID 5105
Summary This gene is a main control point for the regulation of gluconeogenesis. The cytosolic enzyme encoded by this gene, along with GTP, catalyzes the formation of phosphoenolpyruvate from oxaloacetate, with the release of carbon dioxide and GDP. The expression of this gene can be regulated by insulin, glucocorticoids, glucagon, cAMP, and diet. Defects in this gene are a cause of cytosolic phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase deficiency. A mitochondrial isozyme of the encoded protein also has been characterized.
