Description SLC35A5 knockout HepG2 cell line lacks SLC35A5 protein, solute carrier family 35 member A5, a nucleoside-sugar transporter in liver cells. SLC35A5 knockout in HepG2 cells enables study of nucleoside-sugar transport disruption in liver cancer, potentially impacting nucleotide sugar availability for glycosylation in hepatocytes, glycosylation pathways, and glycosylation-dependent processes in liver tumor cells.
