Description GlycoErase™ SLC37A4 knockout HEK293 cell line is a HEK293 model lacking SLC37A4 expression. SLC37A4 encodes the ER glucose-6-phosphate transporter that shuttles G6P into the ER lumen, essential for glucose homeostasis and Ca²⁺ sequestration. Mutations cause glycogen storage disease type Ib. The knockout in a human-derived background provides a system to investigate ER-glucose flux, glycogen storage disorders, and ER-calcium coupling, supporting metabolic disorder modeling and transporter-targeted drug discovery.
