Description To analyze UGT8 UDP-glycosyltransferase function in CHO-S cells, and to elucidate its role in galactocerebroside biosynthesis, crucial for myelin sheath formation, the UGT8 knockout CHO-S cell line provides a model to study galactocerebroside biosynthesis disruption and, while myelin-focused, potentially reveal novel roles for UGT8 or galactocerebrosides in broader CHO-S glycosylation pathways and cellular functions.
