GlycoFlux™ Human LDHB Overexpression CHO-K1 Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0925-JF301)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoFlux™ human LDHB overexpression CHO-K1 cell line is a stable glycoengineered line that constitutively overexpresses LDHB, favoring lactate-to-pyruvate conversion and NADH generation. Use it to drive pyruvate/TCA entry, increase citrate-derived acetyl-CoA for lipid and acetylation pathways, and evaluate how oxidative metabolism shapes branching, galactosylation, and sialylation of secreted proteins; peroxisome-localized readthrough isoform effects can also be profiled.

Availability Status Made to order
Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target LDHB
Full Name Lactate Dehydrogenase B
Alternative Name LDH-B; LDH-H; LDHBD; TRG-5; HEL-S-281
Location 12p12.1
Gene ID 3945
Summary This gene encodes the B subunit of lactate dehydrogenase enzyme, which catalyzes the interconversion of pyruvate and lactate with concomitant interconversion of NADH and NAD+ in a post-glycolysis process. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. Recent studies have shown that a C-terminally extended isoform is produced by use of an alternative in-frame translation termination codon via a stop codon readthrough mechanism, and that this isoform is localized in the peroxisomes. Mutations in this gene are associated with lactate dehydrogenase B deficiency. Pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes X, 5 and 13.
