GlycoFlux™ Human PDK2 Overexpression Glycoengineered Cell (CAT#: GLJF-0925-JF40)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoFlux™ human PDK2 overexpression glycoengineered cell is a stable cell line that elevates pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 2 to inhibit PDH via E1α phosphorylation, lowering acetyl-CoA supply. It enables Warburg-shift models linking reduced acetyl-CoA to hexosamine pathway flux, O-GlcNAcylation, and complex N-glycan branching, hormone/insulin signaling studies with glycoprotein readouts, and PDK inhibitor screening using glycan-resolved secretion and receptor sialylation as endpoints.

Shipping Dry ice
Availability Status Made to order
Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target PDK2
Full Name Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Kinase 2
Alternative Name PDHK2; PDKII
Location 17q21.33
Gene ID 5164
Summary This gene encodes a member of the pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase family. The encoded protein phosphorylates pyruvate dehydrogenase, down-regulating the activity of the mitochondrial pyruvate dehydrogenase complex. Overexpression of this gene may play a role in both cancer and diabetes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.
