GlycoFlux™ Human PDK4 Overexpression CHO-K1 Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0925-JF311)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoFlux™ human PDK4 overexpression CHO-K1 cell line is designed to enhance expression of PDK4, a mitochondrial kinase that suppresses PDH activity through phosphorylation. Since its expression is hormonally regulated by glucocorticoids, retinoic acid, and insulin, this model is ideal for exploring nutrient sensing, diabetes, and metabolic adaptation under fasting or exercise.

Availability Status Made to order
Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target PDK4
Full Name Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Kinase 4
Location 7q21.3
Gene ID 5166
Summary This gene is a member of the PDK/BCKDK protein kinase family and encodes a mitochondrial protein with a histidine kinase domain. This protein is located in the matrix of the mitrochondria and inhibits the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex by phosphorylating one of its subunits, thereby contributing to the regulation of glucose metabolism. Expression of this gene is regulated by glucocorticoids, retinoic acid and insulin.
