GlycoFlux™ Human PEBP1 Overexpression CHO-K1 Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0925-JF312)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoFlux™ human PEBP1 overexpression CHO-K1 cell line overproduces PEBP1, a phosphatidylethanolamine-binding protein that modulates MAPK, NF-κB, and GSK-3 signaling. It can be processed into hippocampal cholinergic neurostimulating peptide (HCNP), linking it to neural development. This model provides a valuable system to study signal transduction, neurobiology, and cancer metastasis suppression.

Availability Status Made to order
Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target PEBP1
Full Name Phosphatidylethanolamine Binding Protein 1
Alternative Name PBP; HCNP; PEBP; RKIP; HCNPpp; PEBP-1; HEL-210; HEL-S-34; HEL-S-96
Location 12q24.23
Gene ID 5037
Summary This gene encodes a member of the phosphatidylethanolamine-binding family of proteins and has been shown to modulate multiple signaling pathways, including the MAP kinase (MAPK), NF-kappa B, and glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3) signaling pathways. The encoded protein can be further processed to form a smaller cleavage product, hippocampal cholinergic neurostimulating peptide (HCNP), which may be involved in neural development. This gene has been implicated in numerous human cancers and may act as a metastasis suppressor gene. Multiple pseudogenes of this gene have been identified in the genome.
