GlycoFlux™ Human PFKM Overexpression Jurkat Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0925-JF777)

Datasheet

1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoFlux™ human PFKM overexpression Jurkat cell line is a stable glycoengineered line that constitutively overexpresses the muscle isoform of phosphofructokinase-1, boosting glycolytic commitment at F6P→F1,6BP. Increased glycolytic throughput elevates hexosamine and UDP-sugar generation, altering N-glycan branching and sialylation that shape receptor clustering and signaling. This platform models activation-like metabolic rewiring in T cells and benchmarks PFK modulators.

Availability Status Made to order
Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target PFKM
Full Name Phosphofructokinase, Muscle
Alternative Name GSD7; PFK1; PFKA; PFKX; PFK-1; PFK-A; ATP-PFK; PPP1R122
Location 12q13.11
Gene ID 5213
Summary Three phosphofructokinase isozymes exist in humans: muscle, liver and platelet. These isozymes function as subunits of the mammalian tetramer phosphofructokinase, which catalyzes the phosphorylation of fructose-6-phosphate to fructose-1,6-bisphosphate. Tetramer composition varies depending on tissue type. This gene encodes the muscle-type isozyme. Mutations in this gene have been associated with glycogen storage disease type VII, also known as Tarui disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
