GlycoFlux™ Human PPP1R3C Overexpression Glycoengineered Cell (CAT#: GLJF-0925-JF58)

Datasheet

1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoFlux™ human PPP1R3C overexpression glycoengineered cell is a stable cell line upregulating PTG (PPP1R3C) to strongly recruit PP1 to glycogen. Use it for maximal glycogen-accumulation models, nucleotide-sugar capacity testing that drives branching and terminal capping changes, and media/feed optimization screens where precursor supply limits complex N-glycan finishing.

Availability Status Made to order
Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target PPP1R3C
Full Name Protein Phosphatase 1 Regulatory Subunit 3C
Alternative Name PTG; PPP1R5
Location 10q23.32
Gene ID 5507
Summary This gene encodes a carbohydrate binding protein that is a subunit of the protein phosphatase 1 (PP1) complex. PP1 catalyzes reversible protein phosphorylation, which is important in a wide range of cellular activities. The encoded protein affects glycogen biosynthesis by activating glycogen synthase and limiting glycogen breakdown by reducing glycogen phosphorylase activity. DNA hypermethylation of this gene has been found in colorectal cancer patients. The encoded protein also interacts with the laforin protein, which is a protein tyrosine phosphatase implicated in Lafora disease.
