1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoFlux™ human PRKAA2 overexpression HepG2 cell line is a stable glycoengineered line that constitutively overexpresses AMPK α2, a catalytic subunit with prominent roles in hepatic and cardiac energy balance. Use it to compare α-isoform-specific control of lipid synthesis and donor-sugar pools, and to quantify consequent changes in complex-type branching and receptor glyco-pharmacology under insulin-relevant conditions.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target PRKAA2
Full Name Protein Kinase Amp-Activated Catalytic Subunit Alpha 2
Alternative Name AMPK; AMPK2; PRKAA; AMPKa2
Location 1p32.2
Gene ID 5563
Summary This alpha catalytic subunit of AMPK is involved in switching off fatty acid and cholesterol synthesis by inactivating ACC and HMG-CoA reductase, and it contributes to insulin sensitivity and cardiac energy balance.
