1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoFlux™ human UGP2 overexpression Jurkat cell line is a stable glycoengineered line that constitutively overexpresses UGP2, the UDP-glucose pyrophosphorylase that generates UDP-Glc for glycogen synthesis and dolichol-P-Glc formation. This model directly elevates glycosylation precursors, enhancing N-glycan maturation/branching and enabling fine control of product glycoforms.

Availability Status Made to order
Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target UGP2
Full Name Udp-Glucose Pyrophosphorylase 2
Alternative Name UDPG; UGP1; DEE83; UDPGP; UGPP1; UGPP2; EIEE83; SVUGP2; UDPGP2; pHC379
Location 2p15
Gene ID 7360
Summary The enzyme encoded by this gene is an important intermediary in mammalian carbohydrate interconversions. It transfers a glucose moiety from glucose-1-phosphate to MgUTP and forms UDP-glucose and MgPPi. In liver and muscle tissue, UDP-glucose is a direct precursor of glycogen; in lactating mammary gland it is converted to UDP-galactose which is then converted to lactose. The eukaryotic enzyme has no significant sequence similarity to the prokaryotic enzyme. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
