Description GlycoFlux™ human UGT8 overexpression glycoengineered cell is a stable cell line that constitutively overexpresses UGT8 (ceramide galactosyltransferase), which generates galactocerebrosides that can be sulfated to sulfatides. Elevated galactosylceramide flux enables engineering of myelin-like glycolipids, investigation of lipid raft-dependent receptor clustering, and evaluation of glycolipid-mediated pathogen entry.
