GlycoFlux™ Lenti-SIGLEC14 Viral Particle encodes SIGLEC14, a sialic acid-binding receptor associated with myeloid activation and cell adhesion. The ready-to-transduce lentiviral system is suited to create stably transduced mammalian cell lines for studying paired-receptor biology (e.g., with SIGLEC5), inflammation readouts, and pathogen interactions, and is compatible with selection or fluorescence enrichment.

Application
The lentiviral vector is a powerful, HIV-based system used for gene delivery, notable for its ability to transduce both dividing and non-dividing cells (e.g., neurons, stem cells). It permanently integrates the gene into the host genome, ensuring long-term, sustained expression for applications in research and studies related to gene therapy.
Shipping
Shipped on dry ice with temperature held at or below -80°C.
Storage
Store at -80°C to maintain their titer and stability.
Handling Notes
Store products at -80°C, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to maintain viral titer. For safety, always handle the products in a biological safety cabinet, using appropriate personal protective equipment like lab coats, gloves, and eye protection.

Transduction Evaluation
On request, Creative Biolabs conducts in vitro or in vivo transduction assays to evaluate lentiviral delivery to target cells and to quantify transgene expression and function.
Insert Identity Confirmation
All lentiviral vectors at Creative Biolabs are verified for correct proviral integration by PCR. In this assay, cells are transduced with serial dilutions of the lentiviral vector, harvested after a few days, and genomic DNA is isolated. A defined region of the expected lentiviral insert is then PCR-amplified to confirm identity.
This protein is predicted to bind sialic acid and is involved in cell adhesion. It is predicted to be located in ficolin-1-rich granule membranes and active within the plasma membrane.
