GlycoFlux™ Lenti-SIGLEC16 Viral Particle provides SIGLEC16, a sialic acid-binding receptor implicated in innate defense activation and IL-6 production. This replication-defective vector enables long-term, stably transduced mammalian cells to evaluate activating pathways, ligand specificity, and cytokine responses; selection or fluorescence sorting can be applied directly.

Application
The lentiviral vector is a powerful, HIV-based system used for gene delivery, notable for its ability to transduce both dividing and non-dividing cells (e.g., neurons, stem cells). It permanently integrates the gene into the host genome, ensuring long-term, sustained expression for applications in research and studies related to gene therapy.
Shipping
Shipped on dry ice with temperature held at or below -80°C.
Storage
Store at -80°C to maintain their titer and stability.
Handling Notes
Store products at -80°C, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to maintain viral titer. For safety, always handle the products in a biological safety cabinet, using appropriate personal protective equipment like lab coats, gloves, and eye protection.
Product Disclaimer
These products are for research use only and not for diagnostic or clinical use. The user assumes full responsibility for all safety protocols and compliance with relevant regulations. While we are committed to quality, Creative Biolabs makes no guarantee as to the performance of these products in a specific application.
Quality Control

Sterility
Sterility testing confirmed no microbial contamination.
Transduction Evaluation
On request, Creative Biolabs conducts in vitro or in vivo transduction assays to evaluate lentiviral delivery to target cells and to quantify transgene expression and function.
Insert Identity Confirmation
All lentiviral vectors at Creative Biolabs are verified for correct proviral integration by PCR. In this assay, cells are transduced with serial dilutions of the lentiviral vector, harvested after a few days, and genomic DNA is isolated. A defined region of the expected lentiviral insert is then PCR-amplified to confirm identity.
Target Information
Full Name
Sialic Acid Binding Ig Like Lectin 16
Alternative Name
SIGLECP16; Siglec-P16; Sialic Acid Binding Ig Like Lectin
This protein is predicted to bind sialic acid and is involved in the positive regulation of defense responses to bacteria and the production of interleukin-6. It is predicted to be located in the membrane and active in the plasma membrane.
