The GlycoSens™ Polyphenol Oxidase (PPO) Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target polyphenol oxidase in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
Product Type
Oxidation and Antioxidant Series
Target
PPO
Kit Components
Reaction Buffer; Specific Substrate; Standard; Reaction Stop Solution
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of polyphenol oxidase. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect PPO content in the sample.
Detection Time
Within 1 hour
Detection Wavelength
420 nm
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Polyphenol oxidase (PPO) acts as an essential biochemical entity within diverse cellular pathways. Through its catalytic activity, it ensures the safe processing of oxidative metabolites within the cell. Moreover, thus, accurate determination using this assay supports advanced exploration in biochemistry and molecular biology.
Application
Widely applicable for tracking polyphenol oxidase (PPO) fluctuations across agricultural biotechnology, crop growth regulation, and physiological stress responses.
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
