Product Overview Recombinant Human herpesvirus 6A (strain GS) Glycoprotein 105 (33-364 aa) was expressed in E. coli with a 10xHis-tag at the N-terminus and a Myc-tag at the C-terminus. The biological activity was determined by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. This product can be used in ELISA, WB, IP.

Background HHV-6 encodes multiple surface glycoproteins, including gB, gH, gL, and gM, for which relatively conserved homologs have been identified in all known mammalian herpesviruses. gB (the most highly conserved glycoprotein among herpesviruses) and another glycoprotein, gp82-gp105, (thus far found only in HHV-6 and the related β-herpesvirus, HHV-7) appear to be critical for the fusion/entry process.
Alternate Names U96/U97/U98/U99/U100; Glycoprotein 105
