Specifications
Description
Sorbitan monostearate, also known by the trade name Span 60TM, is an ester produced from sorbitan (a derivative of sorbitol) and stearic acid. This synthetic wax acts as a non-ionic surfactant and emulsifier. It is commonly utilized across the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries due to its ability to facilitate the mixing of immiscible substances (oils and water), improve product texture, and stabilize emulsions against phase separation.
