Description
Researchers at the Creative Biolabs have developed Beagle Canine PBMCs that allows for study in numerous research areas, such as immunology, oncology. The cells can be used for a wide variety of safety assessment and functional assays.
Species character
The Beagle canine is the most commonly-used breed of dog for the study of cardiology, cancer, microbial pathogenesis, and immunology. Specifically, they have been used to study the pathogenesis of and response to Leishmania infantum, an intracellular parasite that can pose public health concerns. In these experiments, PBMCs from beagles that are cultured in the presence of L. infantum can respond to the virus by proliferating. Therefore, beagle PBMCs may be used to study other types of immune responses.
