Description
Researchers at the Creative Biolabs have developed CD45.1 C57BL/6 Mouse Splenocytes that allows for study in numerous research areas, such as immunology, oncology. The cells can be used for a wide variety of safety assessment and functional assays.
Species character
The C57BL/6 mouse is the most commonly-used inbred mouse strain available and is employed in numerous research areas, including immunology, genetics, diabetes and obesity, neurobiology, cardiovascular biology, and developmental biology. They are routinely used as the background strain for generation of congenics carrying modified genes and/or transgenes. These mice carry the H-2b haplotype and their immune cells are commonly used in immune-based assays.
Background
A splenocyte can be any one of the different white blood cell types as long as it is situated in the spleen or purified from splenic tissue. Splenocytes consist of a variety of cell populations such as T and B lymphocytes, dendritic cells and macrophages, which have different immune functions.
