Daudi In Vitro Mitotic Index Assay (Cell Proliferation)

CAT#: ITS-1022-YF1903
Target Cell Organism: Human
Target Cell Name: Daudi
Assay Type: Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Overview
This assay is to provide Daudi-based In Vitro Mitotic Index Assay (Cell Proliferation) to accelerate our client's oncology projects. The assay will be customized according to the specific requirements. Please contact our scientists to discuss more details.
Target Cell Name
Daudi
Target Cell Organism
Human
Target Cell Background
The Daudi cell line is composed of B lymphoblasts isolated from the peripheral blood of a Black,16-year-old, male, Burkitt's Lymphoma patient in 1967. These well-characterized B lymphoblasts have been extensively used in the study of leukemogenesis.
Related Diseases

Assay Name
In Vitro Mitotic Index Assay (Cell Proliferation)
Short Description
Daudi-cell based In Vitro Mitotic Index Assay (Cell Proliferation)
Assay Description
Mitotic index assay is one of the old assays used to determine the number of cells that are undergoing mitosis in a specified cell population using monoclonal antibodies specific for phosphorylated histone H3 (ser28). Phosphorylated histone H3 (ser28) is considered as a main marker for mitosis and this specific phosphorylation can be utilized to calculate the mitotic index in a specified cell population.
Assay Type
Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Type Details
Uncontrolled proliferation is one of the main features of cancer cells. Cell-based in vitro assays are employed to determine whether test molecules possess direct cytotoxic/antiproliferative effects in cancer cells.
Assay Subtype
Cell Proliferation Assay
Assay MOA
Cell-based Assays Based on DNA Synthesis
