Product Overview
PharmaOnco™ 7-Aminoactinomycin D (7-AAD) is a fluorescent chemical compound with a strong affinity for DNA. It i s excluded from live cells with intact membranes but penetrates dead or damaged cells and binds to double-stranded DNA with high affinity by intercalating between GC base pairs. It is used as a fluorescent marker that is useful for live/dead discrimination and cell cycle profiling in fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry.
