Product Overview
Annexin V is a 35-36 kDa calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein with high affinity for phosphatidylserine (PS). In flow cytometry, annexin V is commonly used to detect apoptotic cells by its ability to bind to phosphatidylserine, a marker of apoptosis. Annexin V is available conjugated to a wide variety of dyes. Creative Biolabs' Annexin V conjugates offer up to 100-fold difference in fluorescence signal intensity between apoptotic and non-apoptotic cells using flow cytometry.
