PharmaOnco™ BALB/c Mouse T Cell-depleted Splenocytes, Irradiated
CAT#: IC-LX055
Product Type: OncoImmune Cells
Cell Type: T Cell-depleted Irradiated Splenocytes
Species: BALB/c Mouse
Short Description
Creative Biolabs offers BALB/c Mouse T Cell-depleted Splenocytes, Irradiated for using as antigen presenting cells, stimulation/feeder cells or target cells in a wide variety of immunology-based applications.
Description
Irradiated BALB/c mouse T cell-depleted splenocytes are splenocytes isolated from BALB/c mice that have been irradiated to prevent cell division and are depleted of T cells. These cells can be used in experiments to study the role of T cells in immune responses or to investigate the functions of other immune cell populations in the absence of T cells.
Species character
The BALB/c mouse is a commonly-used inbred mouse strain for the study of autoimmune diseases and pathogen-driven immune response. They carry the H-2d haplotype and their immune cells are routinely used in immune-based assays.
Background
A splenocyte can be any one of the different white blood cell types as long as it is situated in the spleen or purified from splenic tissue. Splenocytes consist of a variety of cell populations such as T and B lymphocytes, dendritic cells and macrophages, which have different immune functions.

Mycoplasma Testing
The cell line has been screened using the luciferase based mycoplasma detection kit to confirm the absence of mycoplasma species.
Sterility Testing
Creative Biolabs provides sterility testing in accordance with USP and EP regulations. All of our sterility testing is performed in an isolator or clean room environments. The cell line has been screened using the membrane filtration testing methods to confirm the absence of aerobic, anaerobic and fungi microorganisms.
Genetic Stability Testing
We perform cell genetic stability studies under ICH guidelines. We can provide guidance on the appropriate testing program upon your requirements.
Application
Immunotherapy Discovery and Development
Research Use Only
Our immune cell are for research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
Quality Control
Cultures are screened for the presence of bacteries, yeast, fungi and mycoplasma (DNA amplification). Growth media are also certified based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines.
Storage
Lyophilized cells should be stored in a liquid nitrogen tank (-150°C~-190°C). After thawing, cells should be immediately transferred to the appropriate culture medium and maintained under recommended culture conditions.
Handling Notes
Frozen cells should be thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure to ensure cell viability and proper assay performance. Note: Do not freeze the cells upon receipt as it may result in irreversible damage to the cell line. Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee cell viability if the cells are not thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure.
