PharmaOnco™ HEK293-Tg(Human hIDO2) Stable Cell Line, Single Clone

CAT#: ITS-0822-HMM172
Product Type: Stable Cell Line
Short Description
Creative Biolabs offers HEK293-Tg(Human hIDO2) stable cell line which the hIDO2 gene stably expressed in HEK293 cells.
Description
HEK293-Tg(Human IDO2) stable cell line is a genetically modified human embryonic kidney (HEK293) cell line that stably expresses the human indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 2 (IDO2) gene. IDO2 is an enzyme involved in the catabolism of the amino acid tryptophan, playing a role in immune regulation and tolerance. This stable cell line can be used to study the biological functions and regulatory mechanisms of IDO2 in immune responses, cancer development, and other biological processes. It can also be utilized for drug screening and development of therapeutics targeting IDO2.

Background
The HIDO2 gene (also known as TERC) is located on chromosome 3 and encodes for a component of the telomerase enzyme complex. Telomerase is involved in maintaining the length of telomeres, which are protective caps at the ends of chromosomes. Mutations in the HIDO2 gene have been associated with dyskeratosis congenita, a rare genetic disorder characterized by abnormal skin, nail, and mucous membrane development as well as bone marrow failure. Defects in the HIDO2 gene can lead to shortened telomeres, which in turn can result in premature aging and increased risk of cancer.

Sterility Testing
Creative Biolabs provides sterility testing in accordance with USP and EP regulations. All of our sterility testing is performed in an isolator or clean room environments. The cell line has been screened using the membrane filtration testing methods to confirm the absence of aerobic, anaerobic and fungi microorganisms.
Identity Testing
Identity testing is required for newly established cell lines. Isoenzyme analysis is used to confirm the identity of the species of a cell line. Alternative methods for identity testing include DNA fingerprinting, STR analysis and karyology.
Virological Safety Testing
A broad range of viruses is susceptible to affecting human cell lines. We can provide in vivo/vitro virus safety assays by utilizing various animal systems. These viruses include: adventitious viruses, bovine viruses, human and simian viruses, porcine viruses, retrovirus and rodent viruses.
Genetic Stability Testing
We perform cell genetic stability studies under ICH guidelines. We can provide guidance on the appropriate testing program upon your requirements.
Mycoplasma Testing
The cell line has been screened using the luciferase based mycoplasma detection kit to confirm the absence of mycoplasma species.

Storage
Frozen cells should be stored in a liquid nitrogen tank (-150°C~-190°C). After thawing, cells should be immediately transferred to the appropriate culture medium and maintained under recommended culture conditions.
Handling Notes
Frozen cells should be thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure to ensure cell viability and proper assay performance.
Note: Do not freeze the cells upon receipt as it may result in irreversible damage to the cell line.
Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee cell viability if the cells are not thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure.
Warnings
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles
