Description
HEK293-Tg(Human OX40)-NF-κB Luc reporter cell line is a genetically modified HEK293 cell line that stably expresses the human OX40 receptor and a luciferase reporter gene downstream of the NF-κB promoter. This cell line is commonly used in research to study the activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway in response to OX40 stimulation.

Background
The OX40 gene, also known as TNFRSF4, is a gene that encodes a protein known as OX40 (CD134). OX40 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily and is primarily expressed on activated T cells. When OX40 binds to its ligand, OX40L, it plays a critical role in regulating T cell activation, proliferation, survival, and cytokine production. The OX40 gene has been implicated in various immune responses, including promoting T cell activation and survival, enhancing memory T cell formation, and regulating the balance between effector and regulatory T cells. Targeting the OX40 pathway has shown promise in cancer immunotherapy, as blocking OX40 signaling can enhance anti-tumor immune responses.

Storage
Frozen cells should be stored in a liquid nitrogen tank (-150°C~-190°C). After thawing, cells should be immediately transferred to the appropriate culture medium and maintained under recommended culture conditions.
Handling Notes
Frozen cells should be thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure to ensure cell viability and proper assay performance.
Note: Do not freeze the cells upon receipt as it may result in irreversible damage to the cell line.
