PharmaOnco™ Jurkat-B2M KO-NFAT Luc Reporter Cell Line, Single Clone (CAT#: ITS-0822-HMM99)

DatasheetDatasheet
Short Description
Creative Biolabs offers Jurkat-B2M KO-NFAT Luc reporter cell line which the B2M gene was knocked out in NFAT Luc reporter Jurkat cells.
Description
The Jurkat-B2M KO-NFAT Luc reporter cell line is a cell line derived from Jurkat cells that have been engineered to have a knockout (KO) of the beta-2 microglobulin (B2M) gene. This gene is important for the expression of MHC class I molecules on the cell surface. These cells also have a luciferase reporter gene under the control of the NFAT (nuclear factor of activated T cells) response element, allowing for the monitoring of NFAT activity in response to stimuli. This cell line can be used in research to study immune responses and signaling pathways involving NFAT.

Background
The B2M gene, also known as beta-2 microglobulin, is a gene that provides instructions for making a protein that is found on the surface of all cells in the body. This protein is important for the immune system, as it plays a role in presenting antigens to immune cells to help the body identify foreign invaders, such as bacteria or viruses. Mutations in the B2M gene can lead to various health conditions, including certain types of cancer and autoimmune disorders.
