Description
The Jurkat-Tg(Human CD27)-NF-kB reporter cell line is a cell line derived from Jurkat cells that have been genetically modified to express human CD27 and a reporter gene for NF-kB activity. CD27 is a cell surface molecule that is involved in T cell activation and differentiation, while NF-kB is a transcription factor that plays a key role in regulating immune and inflammatory responses. This cell line can be used in research to study the signaling pathways associated with CD27 activation and the downstream effects on NF-kB activity. Background
The CD27 gene, also known as TNFRSF7, encodes a protein that is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. CD27 is primarily expressed on the surface of T cells and plays a role in T cell activation, survival, and differentiation. It is also involved in the immune response to pathogens and cancer cells. Mutations in the CD27 gene have been associated with immunodeficiency disorders and autoimmune diseases. Therapeutic targeting of CD27 is being explored for the treatment of cancer and inflammatory conditions.

Storage
Frozen cells should be stored in a liquid nitrogen tank (-150°C~-190°C). After thawing, cells should be immediately transferred to the appropriate culture medium and maintained under recommended culture conditions.
Handling Notes
Frozen cells should be thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure to ensure cell viability and proper assay performance.
Note: Do not freeze the cells upon receipt as it may result in irreversible damage to the cell line.
